A Dash of Prevention for a Lifetime of Health

Why Seek Nutrition Counseling?

Raising children is one transition and adjustment followed by another. Incessant decisions to be made. Countless bouts of self doubt. Do you ever wish there was someone who could bring guidance and support to these experiences? Do you wonder if the standard recommendations are truly what’s best for your family?

National recommendations for nutrition and feeding are constantly changing and typically designed to apply to the entire US, and even the world. As you can imagine, many of these recommendations cannot apply perfectly to all; in fact, they may even hold back optimal nutrition for many. In my practice, I decipher the research behind these broad-spectrum recommendations and adjust them so you receive custom-tailored guidelines that maximize nutrition for your family.

Providing support and guidance throughout the feeding and nutrition transitions from pregnancy to childhood and beyond, my goal is to instill caregivers with the knowledge, productive habits, and nourishing routines that set up the family for a peaceful and healthful future.

My Approach.

In family nutrition education sessions, parents and caregivers are given the time and space to discuss current feeding practices and challenges, future goals, and to troubleshoot specific concerns. Parents have the opportunity to share their nutrition history and interests ahead of time so sessions can be tailored to meet their individual needs.

I work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and children to ensure the creation and maintenance of practices that improve long-term mental and physical health for the whole family.
