  • I am an out-of-network provider; however, depending on your insurance benefits, your insurance may reimburse a percentage of the fees for our sessions. A Superbill can be provided upon request.

  • I do not provide clinical feeding therapy. Feeding therapy addresses oral motor challenges as it relates to food intake. Feeding therapy is necessary when picky eating is the result of medical conditions or special needs that hinder a child’s ability to physically process food. The majority of picky eaters do not require feeding therapy; my approach addresses the nutrition and behavioral/social dynamics of mealtimes. I will refer to feeding therapists if a need is indicated; I also collaborate with feeding therapists to support treatment plans.

  • This depends entirely on the reason for counseling and individual needs and goals. We will work together to find a plan that is practical and meets your needs. A new parent wanting tips on preventing picky eating may need one or two sessions, whereas a client with a long history of disordered eating may benefit most from ongoing sessions for at least several months.

  • Yes, I believe cost should not impede health or recovery; I have a number of sliding scale spots and encourage you to inquire about potential openings.
