A Nourishing & Enjoyable Relationship with Food is Within Reach
Are you curious about the possibility of a more satisfying relationship with food and body image?
Are you tired of food and body image thoughts consuming your life and complicating your decisions?
Are you seeking outpatient nutrition support after stepping down from a treatment program?
Are you searching for hope and help for a loved one?
Why Seek Nutrition Counseling.
Eating Disorders are dangerous, isolating, and emotionally painful, which is why clinicians recommend having a dedicated team supporting clients on their journey. As an integral part of the treatment team, Dietitians contribute nutrition education and counseling to assist in normalizing eating patterns, dispel food myths, remove food rules and fears, and develop alternative coping skills.
It is important to me that no one feels alone in their struggle and recovery. A huge proportion of our population suffers with disordered eating and eating disorders and yet it remains a disease most suffer through alone; seeking support is the most important step toward a healthier and happier future.
My Approach.
In my practice, I consider clients an integral part of their treatment team. We collaborate to set goals and maintain momentum toward an accepting and compassionate relationship with food and body image.
I maintain a judgment-free, low-pressure environment to safely explore concerns and goals. I incorporate principles of mindfulness and intuitive eating to instill trust and appreciation for our bodies. I provide nutrition education to arm clients with facts to battle a world littered with misinformation and diet culture. I work to heal & reframe relationships with body image. I empower clients with the necessary knowledge to feel proud and confident taking care of themselves.
Together, my clients and I work to uncover and remove barriers to a more nourishing and enjoyable life. As a trained chef, I especially enjoy watching my clients build (or rebuild) a love of food and flavors. When desired, I am always happy to include culinary education and cooking techniques as part of treatment.
Feeding your body doesn’t have to be riddled with confusion, fear, shame, or the anxiety of incessant food decisions. I whole-heartedly believe everyone is capable of, and entitled to, a life where the necessity of feeding themselves is an enjoyable and stress-free experience.
